The New Era

Introducing: an updated version of me.

Okay, I lied. It's the same me with more makeup on my face. I blame it on Nicki Minaj and the other trannies out there. But that does NOT mean that I. myself, wants to be a transexual. I love and respect my GIRS out there but that is not my niche. I'm just a guy who is a full tank of sugar and is exploding with glamour, fashion, and extravaganza. Since you have last seen me in this blog, I have become more confident and aware that I am not most homosexuals. I'm just a tang-bang full of fashion.

You know, those special homosexuals that most gays don't really get or wouldn't want to know about. Dating-wise, it's been bleek except for the old perverts who always tend to get on me. No sir, I am not one of those typical, tan, tight-bodied, timid Gaysians. But the men I have met in the past few months have been okay. They are confident enough to talk to someone who's a tank full of sugar. Although, I get bored with them easily. I guess it's my fault. I'm holding out on one particular asshole. God, why do the pretty girls tend to go for the assholes?

In other aspects in my life, I have been more aware about friendship too. I have been selective with people in my life. I have learned not to trust too easily and to determine who is an acquaintance and who is more of a friend. I am also glad that people have resurfaced back in my life and have brought new people with them. One particular is a special friend from New Jersey. No she is not a housewife. And I have two great girls I have known since I was a chubby straight boy. Yes, I was straight for a period in my life. And of course, work is work. Because you see these people almost 5 days a week, doesn't mean you can make genuine friendships with them. There is a handful that I would consider a friend through connective threads and interests.

What else can I talk about? Hmm..I still love my RiRi and my shoulderpads. I suppose my fashion aesthetic hasn't changed as much. My motto is still: "If it's tight, then girl, you got it right." I'm still rocking the black and leather and I have been this whole summer. I have been broke becasue of Balmain. I still need to invest in Alexander McQueen items! Oh and I guess I have changed my hair at least 8 times since you have seen me. Different cuts, different color, bowl cut, a-symmetrical, blonde, streaks, black streaks, red, etc. Is it time for a weave?? I'll let Rihanna determine that! LOL!!!!

I guess you can say: I'm at my happiest this entire year so far. LEt's hope I end this year even happier!

Oh and Emily...that is all.

Mariel Haenn Is Someone I Inspire To Be...

Mariel Haenn, Rihanna’s amazing stylist, has been interviewed by My Fashion File. Obviously, she was asked about RiRi. And in case you haven’t realized, the beautiful Mariel was seen with Rihanna at Paris Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2010.

Which trends from the Spring/Summer 2010 catwalks are you getting excited about?

Some spring/summer trends that I’m excited about are bold bright colors and big accessories…lots of flowy silks, satins, and chiffons. I especially love that jumpsuits are going to be big for spring.

Who or what influences your creativity when styling your clients?

My clients influence me a lot, and many times they have a good idea of what type of look they want to achieve. Runway shows and Old iconic movies definitely give me inspiration. Grace Jones is one of the top influencers of my work.

If you could get your stylistic hands on any celebrity who would it be, and how would you style them?

Luckily I have the one celebrity I would love to work with (Rihanna) but if I had to choose some one it would be Lady Gaga. I love what she does for entertainment but I would love to bring her into a more everyday look of her creative expression.

Has the international recession affected the way you style your clients?

The recession hasn’t so much affected the way I style because I work with every price range of clothes but not necessarily all high end.

Which cities in the world are your favorite for seeking new inspiration?

My favorite cities are Japan, London, Paris, and New York.

Out of all the people and fashion shoots you have styled which has been your personal favorite look?

Wow! Personal favorite look might be Rihanna at 2008 AMA awards performance look (studded bustier and eye patch) or Ciara feat. Justin Timberlake “Love Sex Magic” video.

Rihanna’s style has evolved from Barbadian island girl to bonafide style icon, which you are partly responsible for. How did you decide on the drastic change?

Rihannas evolution was a natural progression that worked with the evolution of her music. When I first started working with her she was in her baggy jean phase and my goal was to make her a little more cutting edge and sexy and over time continued to push the envelope.

What fashion trend do you wish had been kept in the designers studio?

I wish that crocs never left the design lab! Although I’m all about comfort but we can do better that!

What fashion trend do you think will stand the test of time?

I think that the rocker chic look is going be around for awhile. A few other styles that I’m loving right now and will probably stand the test of time are from the Saks Fifth Avenue Fall 2009 Want It! campaign presented by MasterCard. Key pieces within that campaign include looks like: the strong shoulder, rocker boots, leggings, mixed metal necklaces, cozy knits, the neck loop, the forever bag, the vest, three-piece dressing for men and the lacquered lip. All items can be found at Saks Fifth Avenue or on Saks.com and you can use the “the little black card,” the Saks Fifth Avenue World Elite MasterCard for purchases in and out of Saks to earn rewards towards your next Saks purchase.

How would you describe your own personal style?

My personal style is street-chic, and I like to wear comfortable clothes with great shoes, bags and lots of jewelry.

What top tips do you have for our readers when it comes to developing a personal style?

When developing a personal style I suggest lots of research, magazine tear sheets and references that you like to get a good sense of what you’re looking to achieve. Start slow and don’t try to redo your whole closet at one time

Thank You RIhannaDaily for the picture.

Sorry for the lack of posts. I Love Rihanna...

And I don't feel that this cue card/rehearsed speech is 100% genuine. Team RiRi for life.

Self Conscious Body Part Has Been Battled.

First of all, sorry for the delay in updating. I had to handle personal business that doesn't need to be blogged about.

Anyways...Everyone has a body part that they are self conscious of. As confident as I portray myself to be, I mask my least favorite body part to have a prettier illusion. That my friend is my forehead. As what Tyra Banks would say, "Five head". You can probably draw a map on my fivehead and when I was going through puberty, I had zits all over it looknig like you can connect the dots. My skin has cleared since then and yet I still felt disturbed by it. I just didn't want people to think that I has balding (which I'm not. I have a great head of hair that I take care of everyday). I did get hair cuts that mask my problem area and accentuated my face. and worked out for me. Basically, I got a-symmetrical bangs. HAHA!

Lately, I grew less conscious of it because people that I truly adroe has been rocking the fivehead. You know my divas: Tyra, Naomi, Beyonce, and especially my style icon, Rihanna. As of today, I stopped caring when I saw a recent picture of Alien Princess RiRi rocking a hairdo that is out of this world. Alien coiff as you may. I pretty much emulated the exact hairstyle and is sporting the five head at work. I already bumped into my co-worker who actually likes the look.

I can actually say it's a sigh of relief. I faced my personal fear.

If only Rihanna knew how much of an inspiration she has been when it comes to image and style. Well except for her nudie pics. I must say though...her ass looks amazing! WERQ IT OUT!

RiRi Redeux.

I guess you can say that people recognize me or talk to me because of my hair. Since I chopped off my shag and opted for a more throwback meets alienesque cut (which is a definite fusion between Rihanna, Prince, and an Alien), I get more attention. And hate to admit, doppelgangers. But the curly Rihanna fro was too much of an upkeep and I was going to spend money this weekend to get a weave to have a more fuller and wavier Prince look. Time to save money! Recessionista, remember?

I got my hair straightened and it's more sleeker and easier to maintain. It will take a lot to get use to but I'll manage. I'll survive.

HAPPY 21st B'DAY, RiRi!

I JUST saw the "beatdown" photo and it actually made me cry. Why would ANYONE do that to my Princess RiRi?

I hope she's doing good for her birthday. This is how I want to remember Rihanna: Ferosh.

Rihanna: "What's Love Got To Do With It Part 2"

Don't worry folks, Rihanna is okay. Just look at her smile with her eyes! She's totally singing "Take A Bow"

Anyways, it has been brought to my attention that people want me to comment on Rihanna and Chris Brown's "Ike & Tina" story. All I gotta say is, No one fucks with my Princess RiRi. And we all know that she totally has new material to sing about. And make a club remix to. Werq it Rihanna!

For this past week, I've been wearing (More than usual) black outfits just for Rihanna. Clearly, today was my "Take A Bow" outfit. Tomorrow is my "Disturbia" outfit. I'm totally gonna wear my feathered headress and Balenciaga gladiator heels for my meeting with my styling client. Ferosh, no?! I'm totally stressed busting my second job (well, more like my side project for now. pro bono work is so fun right?). Who knew shopping for clothes and fitting them on sexy gorgeous men was such hard work! And all those insurance papers to fill out just to borrow expensive shit?! Aye. I guess it's worth it. I'm one step closer to building my styling portfolio and reaching for my career goal. Although I'm on the bottom of the "stylist totem pole", it doesn't mean I have to look haggard. I'm totally bustin' my balls in my cute Dior Homme shirt, Gucci suede loafers and Givenchy necklace (and no, they don't have the logo on the clothes. Try to be minimal with that, Mmkay?).

By the way, Big Props to Jaime Fabuleux and the team of Sephora Costa Mesa for Loving it, Living it, Werqing it, Owning it, and especially Loving ME! That reminds me, I need some fuckin Dior DiorShow Mascara in color 090 or 698. Get one for me, you haute sluts.

This bitch needs comments. Love me!
